The French Department at Diamond Middle School in Lexington organized their Second Annual Bûche de Noël Bake-Off on Dec. 11 and 12.

Over 70 bûches were baked and creatively decorated by the students for the event, which raised money to support the FEED Foundation, or the Fondation pour l'Epanouissement des Enfants démunis de Paulette), based in Paulette, Haiti, the school said in a press release.

A principal at one of the Paulette schools created the organization to help support the nutritional and educational needs of the village's children.

The French students at Diamond raised over $400 for FEED, which is the equivalent of 860 meals, according to the school.
