The League of Women Voters of Lexington will hold a free forum Friday, Oct. 4, about how to care for and identify healthy trees.

The discussion, called “Trees 101—To Chop or Not!” will be held in the community room on the lower level of Cary Memorial Library at 9:30 a.m. Panelists include Lexington tree warden Chris Filadoro, Gerry Paul and Karen Longeteig from the Lexington Tree Committee and Stew Kennedy from the Conservation Commission. In addition to discussing the health of trees, the panel will also talk about conservation efforts to repair and reestablish fruit trees on town-owned property.

The forum is open to the public and is the first in the League’s 2013-2014 First Friday Forums. Coffee will be available before the forum beginning at 9:15 a.m. and for more information call the League at 781-863-1733.
