Arts After Hours will host SizzLynn – a neighborhood barbeque celebrating Gay Pride month – on June 15 from 2 to 6 p.m. at The Lynn Museum Courtyard at 590 Washington St.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the event and include delicious BBQ fare served up by local chef Greg Gray. For ticket information, and directions please visit artsafterhours.com or call the box office at 781-205-4010. The event is 18+.

Drawing upon the vibe and style of the Fritz Block Party in Boston, SizzLynn will be an outdoor event where the LGBT community and its supporters can come celebrate and show their pride. Beer, wine, soda and water will be available for purchase.

DJ Brian Halligan, formerly of Cirque, now of Plastique and a guest DJ at Club Cafe and Boyfriends, will be on hand to get the crowd
dancing. "My DJ residence at Cirque allowed me to meet some wonderful, creative, and open-hearted people with the resilience and determination to make their dreams come true for a thriving cultural community in Lynn, and I miss playing for that community" says Halligan. "The Arts After Hours organization is an important part of making the dream of a revitalized downtown Lynn a reality, and I'm once again delighted and honored to contribute my skills to SizzLynn in support of that vision."

The music will go on into the night as Halligan continues spinning at an afterparty at Fran’s Place, 776 Washington St., just a short walk from the event.

Local drag performers Veronica Vaughan and Amanda Stevens from Northern Nights will make a special appearance on stage with one of their signature acts, “Serial Girls.”

Sponsors of the event include: Northern Nights, Fran’s Place, and Fenway Community Health Center.

“Fenway Health is very excited to be a part of this inaugural event," says Coco Alinsug, recruitment manager of The Fenway Institute at Fenway Health. "Our mission is to enhance the well-being of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community and all people in our neighborhoods and beyond through access to the highest quality health care, education, research, and advocacy. As such, partnering with an event like this is important. Look for our table at this event.”

There will be great raffle prizes including tickets to home and away Red Sox/Yankees games, gift baskets of alcohol, gift certificates to local restaurants, and much more.

Parking is available on many nearby streets as well as at the MBTA garage on Union Street for $4. Commuter rail and MBTA bus terminal in Central Square is one block from the theatre. For directions to the facility, please see lynnmuseum.com/about/visit. For tickets and more information about Arts After Hours, please see artsafterhours.com.

The event is outdoors and is handicapped accessible.
