Malden Catholic names director of advancement

Lynda Fairbanks Atkins

Malden Catholic High School has named Lynda Fairbanks Atkins as Director of Advancement, effective July 1.

In this capacity, Atkins will oversee the school's advancement department and will work closely with Edward C. Tyrrell, Malden Catholic headmaster.

Atkins previously led her own consulting firm, providing management consulting, interim management, fund development consulting, and customized training to nonprofits, including community organizations.

A seasoned development professional with experience in the nonprofit sector, Atkins has worked with Northeastern University, Boston University, and Tufts.

She also served as the Director of Development and Stewardship for the Handel and Haydn Society of Boston.

Atkins holds a BA from Catawba College in Salisbury, N.C., and an MBA from Northeastern University.
