Football skills camp July 17-19

Breno Giacomini in action at Louisville.
Former Malden High star Breno Giacomini, now an offensive tackle with the Green Bay Packers, will be back at Macdonald Stadium for a free football skills camp July 17-19.
Giacomini was a three-year starter at defensive end and outside linebacker for the Golden Tornadoes before continuing his playing career at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. He continued to grow, and was eventually converted to offensive tackle.
Now a 6-foot-7-inch, 311-pounder, Giacomini was selected by the Packers in the fifth round in 2008 and will be competing for the starting right tackle slot this season.
The camp will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. at the stadium on Pearl Street. It is open to players entering the sixth through 12th grades in the fall.
New Malden High coach Joe Pappagallo and his staff will lead the non-contact mini-camp. Participants are asked to arrive early Friday nightwith a signed permission sheet. They will receive a free T-shirt.
