City Councilor Paul DiPietro

The following is a letter from Ward 3 City Councilor Paul DiPietro:

I write to thank Boston.com for their continuing coverage on the important issue regarding the future of the former Malden Hospital site located in Ward 3. I also want to thank the many residents and city officials who recently attended the neighborhood meeting on this issue.

Their invaluable input will ensure the proper care of the site while it goes back out for sale now that the former developer has withdrawn from moving forward. Their comments and suggestions will also help produce the best plan possible for the site in the coming months and years.

While I am disappointed that the previous developer had to abandon their plans due to the economic downturn, I am confident that all of our hard work together will continue to yield positive results not only for the former Malden Hospital site but other neighborhood issues as well.

Please feel free to contact me at 781-322-5140 or pdipietro@cityofmalden.org with other thoughts and ideas on this important issue. Thanks again and keep up the great work on behalf of Ward 3 and the City of Malden!
