The following is from Ward 5 City Council candidate Nekita Lamour:
I’d like to say “Thank you!” one more time to close to 160 of you Ward 5 voters and residents who have opened your doors for me since June. Because of you I am in the ballot for the September 15th primary election.
Thanks to all of you who signed my nomination paper. As I am getting your signatures, the need for change, for a new voice and new vision echoes across Malden’s fifth ward. I am determined to work with you, serve your interests and meet your needs. Let’s team up for change in Ward 5!
The following poem by david-lincoln epstein, who writes his name in lowercase letters, reflects the response I have gotten so far from most of you, voters of Ward 5. He read it at an Ice Cream Social attended by close to 20 Ward 5 seniors.Thank you!
