The following is a press release from the Mystic Valley Charter School:

The Mystic Valley Cheerleading squad finished in first place in their division in a competition held last Sunday at St. Mary’s in Lynn. The competition featured schools from throughout the area and from the Commonwealth Athletic Conference in particular. By finishing first in the division the girls qualified for the 2009 Regional State Tournament which will be held this Sunday at Woburn High.

After the competition Athletic Director Peter Connolly said "with the commitment and dedication to Coach McWilliams and Coach Gregorio, the girls worked really hard this 2009 season. I am extremely proud of the team. Each member of the team spent countless hours working hard this season and this looks like a catalyst for the years to come. Mystic Valley is now on the map in cheerleading and will continue to grow in the coming years. Congratulations Girls."
