Asian American Club to hold New Year celebration
The following is a press release from Malden High School:
The Malden High School Asian American Club cordially invites everyone to the Malden Community’s Annual Lunar New Year Celebration. In the past, the Asian American Club merely helped the non-profit group, MAPAC (Malden Asian Pacific American Coalition) with the organization of the event. This year’s celebration differs from other years in that this is the first time the Asian American Club has assumed the full responsibility of putting the show together. “Students of the club have worked hard throughout the past couple of months and have done a phenomenal job with this task”, said Ms Phuong Ho, Malden High School Chemistry Teacher and Asian American Club Advisor. “I have much confidence that the turnout will be spectacular!”
The club extends an invitation to join them in welcoming the year of the TIGER on Saturday, February 20th, 2010 at Malden High School’s Cafeteria B, 77 Salem Street, Malden, MA, from 3:00-6:00 PM. Refreshments will be served following the show!
The event is free and open to all ages.
