Malden police make drug, assault arrests

Sixteen people were arrested between Sept. 20 and Sept. 27 for some kind of assault, according to Malden police records. The incidents ranged in severity from assault and battery to assault with a dangerous weapon, according to the reports. Some suspects were charged with other offenses. 

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Officers made a host of other arrests as well. Police arrested Anthony McNeal, 22, of Norcross, Ga.,  Sept. 20 for allegedly receiving a stolen motor vehicle. 

Phellipe Sousa, 23, was arrested Sept. 22 for alleged unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at 483 Broadway.

Police nabbed Ryan Paul, 48, of Crescent Street in Melrose, for alleged possession of a class B substance Sept. 24. Paul was arrested at the corner of Loomis and Elwell streets.

Officers arrested John Castrucci, 48, of Skyline Drive in Malden, Sept. 24 for alleged possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, and the possession of a class B substance with the intent to distribute.

Jennifer Angelli, 26, of Alden Street in Malden, was arrested Sept. 26 after a caller said someone was looking into a neighbor home. Angelli was charged with breaking and entering in the daytime for a felony. 

Kristine Marques, 26, of Sanborn Street in Malden, and Bradley Sherwood, 30, East 8th St. in Boston, were arrested Sept. 27 at 357 Broadway. Marques is charged with home invasion, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and malicious destruction of property valued at more than $250. Sherwood was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, home invasion, and destruction of property valued at more than $250, according to police reports. 

Daniel Rossetti, 18, of Norwood Circle in Medford, was arrested Sept. 27 and charged with possession of an illegal knife, possession of liquor by a person under the age of 21, and illegal possession of a class C substance.
