The 20-year-old Medford man wanted by police in connection with a Saturday shooting in Malden that left one person wounded was arrested in Chelsea early Tuesday morning, authorities said.

Daniel Rossetti was apprehended shortly after 3:30 a.m. by officers responding to a domestic call, according to Chelsea Police.

The arrest was announced by the office of Mayor Gary Christenson. In a statement, Christenson lauded the work of the Malden Police, who he said worked with state and federal law enforcement on the search for Rossetti.

"I would like to thank Lieutenant Marc Gatcomb and the entire Malden Police Department for spearheading this investigation and for keeping the community informed throughout this ordeal," Christenson said in the statement. "I am continuing to work with the police chief and his team on initiatives to further address acts of violence in the City."

Rossetti is charged with shooting another man in the leg on Middlesex Avenue outside Ryan's Amusements during an argument over a woman. Rossetti fled the area in a grey sedan, which was found in Medford.
