Malden public meeting doubleheader Monday to discuss permit parking, public safety
Officials in Malden are preparing for two public meetings Monday night that will give residents an outlet to talk about public safety and a resident permit parking plan.
The public safety meeting, slated for 6 p.m. at the Linden School auditorium, is part of Mayor Gary Christenson's monthly series of forums where police, fire, and city officials take questions from the public about city safety.
The second meeting, at 7 p.m. in the Ferryway School Auditorium, is the second in a series of three meetings to talk about a long-standing proposal to institute resident permit parking in Malden as a way for police to monitor out-of-towners.
