The Malden Fire Department has set up collection boxes at three fire stations to accept donations of new toys for families in need.

Donations to Toys for Tots can be dropped off at the Central Fire Station, at 1 Sprague Street, the District 3 Fire Station, at 332 Pleasant Street the District 4 Fire, at 5 Overlook Ridge Drive in Revere or at Mayor Gary Christenson's office on the sixth floor of Malden Government Center.

Unwrapped toys and checks, which will be used to purchase gift cards, will be accepted in the drive, according to an announcement from the city.

Toys for Tots is run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. The toys collected are given as Christmas presents to children in need.
