Malden's planning board will hold a public hearing Wednesday night where it will consider a proposed expansion to two non-profits, Tri-City Community Action Program and Bread of Life, and a new restaurant on Salem Street.

The non-profits plan to add a three-floor expansion to their location at 54 Eastern Ave. that would add 14 units for low-income housing, offices, and a food pantry kitchen and dining room. The hearing is schedule for 7 p.m. on March 13 at Malden Government Center.

The planning board is also expected to review a proposed new restaurant at 358 and 360 Salem St. The property would require a change of use permit in order to become a restaurant.
