A Malden woman faces an attempted murder charge stemming from a stabbing on Pleasant Street Saturday, police said.
Amber Rabelo, 24, allegedly stabbed a man she knew twice near her apartment at 349 Pleasant St., according to a statement from Malden Police Capt. John Amirault. The man was found near Empire Beauty school about 5 a.m. Saturday and taken to Massachusetts General Hospital. An argument started in Rabelo's apartment complex that led to the stabbing, the statement said.
Rabelo is charged with armed assault with intent to murder, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. She was ordered held without bail in an arraignment in Malden District Court Monday and is slated to appear in court next on May 11.
