Gun violence forum Wednesday in Malden

A forum on gun violence hosted by state Senator Katherine Clark will be held in Malden next week.

The forum will feature Boston real estate developer and gun control advocate John Rosenthal; Professor David Hemenway of the Harvard School of Public Health; Malden Police Chief Kevin Molis; state Representative David Linsky of Natick; and Dawn Tringas from Mom's Demand Action, a grass-roots group that formed following the December shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.

Malden and State Police took six guns off the streets late last month when seven men were arrested in in relation to a drug trafficking operation authorities allege shipped $1 million in marijuana through the mail from California to Malden.

The forum is scheduled for Wednesday, April 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Markey Senior Center in Malden.
