The following was submitted by Malden Catholic High School:

Malden Catholic High School is pleased to announce that Joseph Bottari has been accepted into the Class of 2017 at Georgetown University. Bottari, a senior at Malden Catholic, is accepted into the School of Foreign Service where he will study Investment Banking.

“I really enjoy Politics and Business and a merger of the two will be exciting. Malden Catholic has prepared me for this new venture beginning when I entered as a freshman,” says Bottari. “I am competitive by nature and MC taught me how to have a positive attitude, how to compete to be the best and how to work hard in the classroom and in the athletic field.”

Bottari, who is an offensive lineman for Lancers football team, carries his spirited personality into his academics. A member of Model Congress and a volunteer for Best Buddies, this senior found time to take AP classes in European and US History. “The AP classes offered at Malden Catholic have equipped me with the knowledge that I need to succeed in college. I feel confident with that solid foundation I am looking forward to continuing my education at Georgetown.”

Bottari is the son of Joseph Sr. and Annarita Bottari and the grandson of Vena Pescara of Wakefield and Santa Bottari of Revere. Malden Catholic High School is proud of this extraordinary young man and looks forward to his success.
