Coach Steve "Macca" MacDonald of the Malden (Mass.) High School Golden Tornadoes returns to P.E.I. this weekend to help out at the Holland Hurricanes Football Club's spring evaluation camp at the Terry Fox Sports Complex in Cornwall.

Coach MacDonald is assistant head coach and offensive line and linebackers coach for the Malden High School team of the Greater Boston League. He has over 20 years of coaching experience from Pop Warner youth football through to high school and the NCAA college level. During his time with the Malden High program, Coach MacDonald coached Seattle Seahawks starting tackle Breno Giacomini; and defensive end Elisee Pompilus, who plays in the Champions Professional Indoor Football League, in addition to other current professional prospects.

Along with his high school coaching duties, Coach MacDonald works at football camps run by Breno Giacomini; Wes Welker, who recently left the New England Patriots for the Denver Broncos; and current New England players Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandes.

"I'm looking forward to returning to P.E.I. to work with head coach Mark MacDougall and the other great coaches. There's a strong relationship between the Hurricanes and the Malden High School, and I will bring several of my players with me who are looking forward to participating in the camp," Coach MacDonald said.

Coach MacDonald lives in Malden, Mass., with his wife, Mary, and sons Stevie Jr., 12, and Connor, 9.

Saturday's evaluation camp runs from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Terry Fox Sports Complex. All 2013 prospects and returning players from 2012 are strongly encouraged to attend.
