Malden Catholic High School is pleased to bring recognition to eight students who have been chosen to participate in the Young Neighbors in Action Program. Andrew Travers (’13), Cameron Betz (’16), Sam Cappuccio (’14), Josh Cole (’15), Timothy Donnelly (’16),and Brendan Tobey (’14) all from Lynn, JosephQuatieri (’16) from Saugus, and Brian Bloom (’16) from Peabody have committed their time and skills to communities that help people less fortunate.
TheYoung Neighbors in Action(YNIA)program puts students in direct contact with people in need. It opens their eyes to some of the real suffering and hardship that takes place and enables them to realize that getting involved does make a difference. The YNIA program goes hand-in-hand with the mission of Malden Catholicto “create a community of faith that promotes the dignity of all and an environment that fosters the love of God, of self, and of others.”
These inspirational Malden Catholic students are outstanding examples of Malden Catholic’s mission in that they contribute in many fields and no matter what they are asked to do, the students respondwith a refreshing and resounding “can do” attitude.
