Paulina Petras leads Mystic Valley vollyball to win

The following was submitted by the Mystic Valley Regional Charter School:

The Girls Volleyball team opened the season on the road with a 3-0 victory over Chelsea.  The team struggled out of the gate before finding their groove and winning the first set 25-18.  Paulina Petras started the second set with an amazing serving sequence (7 aces and 18 service points) that resulted in an insurmountable 22-0 lead.  The team finished the second set with a 25-5 win. The girls kept that momentum going in the third set by finishing off the Red Devils of Chelsea with a 25-7 win.  

The Eagles were lead by Paulina Petras’ 11 aces, 33 service points, and 10 kills.  Jessica Phinney finished with 21 assists, and Shannon Roseen and Mairin King combined for 16 kills.
