Mystic Valley’s 7th and 8th Grade Girls’ Basketball Team won their first game of the season, beating Danvers 33-30. The Eagles were led in scoring by 8th grader Brianna Paris and 7th grader Tara Foley, who had 15 and 10 points respectively. Rounding out the scoring for the Eagles were 7th graders Anastasia Bessler, Talia Mamayek, and Michela Correale, all with two points apiece. 8th grader Kamari Adamson, playing in her first ever basketball game, scored two points and had a rebound.

“I think we played great considering we only had 3 practices”, said Coach Andrew Brown after the game. “We have a lot of things to work on but I am proud of the way the girls were constantly communicating and helping each other out”.

The Eagles (1-0) next game is Saturday, December 21st, 11:30AM at Swampscott.
