The following was submitted by the Mystic Valley Regional Charter School:

Students from Mr. Scot Barry's 12th grade IB (International Baccalaureate) Chemistry class recently travelled to Johnson Matthey Pharma services in Devens, MA.  As part of the IB Chemistry curriculum, students are exposed not only to rigorous academics but also to potential careers in the sciences.  It was with this in mind that the students visited Johnson Matthey. Johnson Matthey (http://www.matthey.com/ourcompany/ourcompany ) is an international specialty chemicals company, founded almost 200 years ago in London.  The company‚Äôs product line and services are very diverse ranging from precious metal processing to pharmaceutical products.

Mystic Valley would like to send special thanks to Dr. Heather Taft, Director of Kilo Labs, for hosting the students.
