On Saturday, Oct. 15, the fifth annual North Shore Walk for Parkinson’s Disease will be held in Swampscott starting at the First Church Congregational, 40 Monument Ave.

The 3-mile walk was started by the Wistran family of Swampscott to honor Parkinson’s sufferer Dr. Daniel Wistran, who has been battling the disease since 1997.

Registration for the North Shore Walk is $25 and starts at 10 a.m. Free T-shirts will be awarded to the first 100 registrants. All proceeds from the walk will benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

To register for the walk or to make a donation, contact Anna Wistran Wolfe at 781-307-5804 or anna.wistran.wolfe@gmail.com. Donations can also be made online at teamfox.org.
