The town has named a new officer to the Marblehead Police Department.

At their last meeting, selectmen voted to appoint Timothy Morley to the Police Department as a full-time officer. Morley will begin his post in March.

Also, selectmen appointed Douglas O'Leary to the Historical Commission with a term to expire in 2013. The board also appointed James Emmanuel to the Conservation Commission. His term will expire in May this year.
