Real estate sales agent Ronnie Orris-Northrop has become a new member of the the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce.
“I think she’s a great addition,” said Anne-Marie Casey, hamber executive director. “She has a very strong Marblehead base right now. She has a lot of clients and a lot of friends in Marblehead. I think this will give her some additional exposure to new folks and new clients. I expect great things from her.”
Orris-Northrop, who has lived in the same house on Pleasant Street for almost 40 years, is a 35-year home sales agent and administrative manager. She is also a member of the North Shore Association of Realtors, Mass Association of Realtors and a Notary Public.
The chamber has about 300 members and averages about 50 new members per year, but in the last two years, membership has hit a few speed bumps.
“The chamber membership and subscriptions often times, with marketing dollars, tend to get the first thing that gets squeezed in a budget,” Casey said. Still, she added, the chamber works to get as many programs and events in as possible.
As for Orris-Northrop, the new member said she’s hoping her expertise in real estate, networking and her strong community presence will add to the chamber.
“I’m very excited to be a part of the chamber and I’m looking forward to participating in a lot of events,” Orris-Northrop said. “I’ve lived in Marblehead for a lot of years and I’ve always wanted to.”
