On Saturday morning, March 9 , the  me&thee  presents a special kids show featuring Tim Rowell and the Chicken Pluckers. Feathers flying and wings flapping. Cooking it up on banjo, fiddle, guitar, ukulele and mandolin. Tim, Woody & Marylou are combining and bringing to the table a variety of musical backgrounds and creating a melting pot of American Roots Music that is perfect for children!. Expect some fun, interactive music experiences.  Doors will open at 10:00 AM for this 10:30 AM show at the me&thee coffeehouse which is located at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Marblehead at 28 Mugford Street.

Tim Rowell  is an award-winning banjo player, teacher and the Director of the Traditional Music Project at the Real School of Music in Burlington, MA. Tim produces albums for October Mountain Music and plays in the bands Jubilee Mule and the Hi-Tone Ramblers. Marylou Ferrante is described by music critic and writer, Daniel Gewertz, in the Boston Herald, as the Bay State's finest female acoustic blues interpreter. Marylou is an artist who performs pre-war blues from the 1920's & 30's. She covers major artists from the delta to east coast piedmont style players such as Robert Johnson, Charlie Patton, Blind Boy Fuller and Memphis Minnie along with mandolin players such as Yank Rachell. Her passionate expression of these old songs comes from a love of the music and the arrangements themselves, as well as what she says is an appreciation for "the history of these folks and the difficult circumstances they endured." Marylou has taught at The Cellar Studio, Salem MA.  Woody Pringle performs old-time music in the Bradford Bog People and has produced three Bog People CDs. Their most recent CD Fully Peated was described by the Old-Time Herald Magazine as "beautiful music." Rostered with the NH Humanities Council "NH to GO", Woody presents the program Rally Round the Flag through Folksong with Marek Bennett. He is also a performing artist with the NH States Arts Council under the band Big Paws.

Kids and their significant others are sure to enjoy this rollicking good time and they'll probably learn a thing or two about American history and roots music too.  The me&thee welcomes anyone and everyone who wants to have a lot of fun on a Saturday morning.
