North Shore JCC Tae Kwon Do champs earn top honors and trophies in spring tournament

Several students in the Jewish Community Center of the North Shore (JCCNS) Tae Kwon Do program have brought home top trophies after competing in a spring tournament.
The competitors, all of which reside in Marblehead and Swampscott, participated in the World Martial Arts Federation 2013 Spring Tournament on March 10.
The competition was held at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Roxbury.
Sarah Bornstein, 15, placed first in fighting and fourth in forms; Madeline Tribendis, 9, placed first in forms and second in fighting; Allison Tribendis, 9, placed second in forms; and Matt Wallace, 14, placed third in fighting and third in forms.
The JCCNS is kicking off its spring session of Tae Kwon Do with two sessions, one beginning in April and the other in May. Levels taught include beginner to intermediate, intermediate to advanced and advanced.
