The following was submitted the Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor:

In recognition of the contribution that US service men and women have made to their country, those wearing their uniforms are being offered free admission to the balcony seats at the Star Spangled Pops concert being held on Patriot’s Day, Saturday April 13, in Marblehead, MA.  Now in it’s sixth year, the concert, which is put on by the Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor, takes place in Marblehead’s historic Abbot Hall at 188 Washington Street.

The concert features popular conductor Dirk Hillyer and the Hillyer Festival Orchestra in a rousing musical program with the theme ‘Patriots Forever’, with special appearances by Glover’s Regiment, the Revolutionary War re-enactors,  and soprano, Jean Danton.  One of the many highlights of the program is a stirring tribute to US service men and women, both active and retired, who stand to attention when their specific service anthem is played, and who receive free admission to balcony seats if they arrive in uniform.

Marblehead Harbor Rotary co-Chairs Becky Linhart and Trista Christiansen predict “This will be a night to remember.  Great music, great guests and a wonderful cause.”

Tickets for the event, which include refreshments at the pre-concert reception, are available online at the website:  www.rcomh.org.  Floor tickets cost $40 each.  Balcony tickets, which cost $25 each can be purchased from the Arnould Gallery, 111 Washington Street; Marblehead Bank, 21 Atlantic Avenue; National Grand Bank, 91 Pleasant Street; and, Spirit of ’76 Bookstore, 107 Pleasant Street.  Proceeds from Star-Spangled Pops benefit the service projects of The Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor..
