Making Ends Meet (MEM) of Marblehead is hosting a fiesta-themed event to raise money for families and individuals in town with financial and medical challenges.

The event will be held on Saturday May 11 from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. at the Gerry No. 5 on Beacon Street, and will include entertainment from Pat Dunne, as well as margaritas, fajitas and salsa dancing.

Each year the all-volunteer organization allocates thousands of dollars to residents who are unable to receive assistance through other social service channels. Making Ends Meet depends on grass roots fundraisers, grants and other gifts to underwrite its donations.

Support is given to individuals and families in the form of financial grants, which could cover a doctor's bill, a mortgage or rent payment, utility bill or other critical expense that may be impossible to pay because of financial crisis.

Tickets to the fiesta event are $35 and can be purchased on the Make Ends Meet website.
