State Police are investigating a collision between a box truck and a bicycle in Marlborough Thursday morning that left the cyclist injured.

Marlborough Police were not disclosing the names of either operator.

According to Marlborough Police Detective Scott DeCiero, the collision occurred at about 7:18 a.m. at the intersection of Millham Street and Evelina Drive.

The bicyclist, a male, was transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester by Lifeflight. His condition was unknown, but DeCiero said the bicyclist suffered a serious leg injury.

The truck driver, also male, has not been criminally charged, but was issued civil citations for having an expired inspection sticker, marked lanes violation, and failure to yield to oncoming traffic.

The State Police accident reconstruction team is continuing to investigate, said DeCiero.
