Mattapan voters came out in droves Tuesday to cast their ballots, with the majority voting to reelect President Barack Obama and send Democrat Elizabeth Warren to the US Senate.

Seventy-four percent of registered voters in Mattapan cast ballots Tuesday, well above the overall citywide turnout of 64 percent.

It was a landslide for the President in Mattapan’s precincts, with 98 percent of voters supporting the President, according to preliminary results compiled by the Globe.

Republican challenger Mitt Romney received very little support in Mattapan, with his best showing in Ward 18 Precinct 1, were he received just two percent of the vote.

Senator Elect Elizabeth Warren also saw strong support in Mattapan, taking close to 96 percent of the total vote.

Republican incumbent US Senator Scott Brown saw his best results in Ward 18 Precinct 4, where he received close to four percent of votes.
