International Celebration at Franklin Park set for Saturday

Boston will be celebrating all the cultures that make the city great at Mayor Thomas M. Menino’s International Celebration on Saturday, Dec. 15.

The free weekend event at the Franklin Park Clubhouse, at 1 Circuit Dr., will feature fun, activities, and food from around the world, including performances by Peruvian and Chinese dance clubs, a visit by Santa, and a number of children’s games.

Refreshments will include hot chocolate and cookies from the Great Taste Bakery of Chinatown.

Free parking is available at the clubhouse parking lot.

The event will run from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and for more information contact the Boston Parks and Recreation Department at (617) 635-4505.
