Les Miserables coming to Medfield High School

Les Misérables, the hit musical based on Victor Hugo's classic novel, is coming to Lowell Mason Auditorium next month.

The musical, presented by Woodland Theatre Company, will be at the Medfield High School auditorium on Oct. 4, 5 and 6. Les Misérables, winner of eight Tony Awards, is the company's first production for the 2013-2014 season, according to a press release.

The cast is bursting with local actors, including Agatha Babbitt of Brighton; Allison Russell of Burlington; Brian Vaughn-Martel of Dorchester; Jon Baril, Chris Brindley, Katie McTyre and Joshua Wright of Framingham; Tyler Moran of Holden, John Bower and Katie Preisig of Marlborough; Mary Ann Hatem of Medfield; Elena Carmichael and Meghan Seaman of Natick; Ben Oehlkers of Needham; Skylar Grossman of Newton; Kevin Mahoney of Saugus; Christine Kasparian of Sharon; Chris Brousseau and Lori L’Italien of Somerville; Carol Kingsbury of Walpole; Connor Chinitz and Daniel Sullivan of Wellesley; Jessica DePalo, Cara Grieco, Brian Higgins and Kevin Parise of Westborough; Elizabeth Crawford of Weston; Athan Mantalos of Whitman; and Joshua Chelmo of Johnston, Rhode Island.

Show times are as follows:
Oct. 4 - 8 p.m.
Oct. 5 - 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Oct. 6 - 2 p.m.

In January, Woodland Theatre Company will present The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and close the season with Fiddler on the Roof in May.
