VNA celebrates Nurses Week May 6 -12
The following is a press release from Greater Medford Visiting Nurses Association:
Greater Medford Visiting Nursing Association (GMVNA) will commemorate “National Nurses Week” from May 6-12 to raise public awareness about home healthcare and the critical role visiting nurses play in providing comprehensive, affordable services in Medford and surrounding communities.
“This Spring, we celebrated our 110th year as an agency –We are proud to bring high-quality, affordable, community-based health care services to the Greater Medford community in the comfort of wherever they call home,” said Marie Knasas, Executive Director of GMVNA. “National Nurses Week celebrates and honors visiting nurses in Medford and beyond for their continued commitment to providing critical health care services to individuals at their place of residence.”
“Most people prefer the comfort and security of home for recovering from an illness or injury, and visiting nurses help provide home health care services that range from highly skilled and technical nursing care, including rehabilitation, to assistance with the essential activities of daily living,” said Knasas.
GMVNA is celebrating their 110th year anniversary and Nurses week by honoring the staff with special events throughout the week.
