The following is a press release from Housing Families, Inc.:

On Tuesday June 8th, Housing Families hosted an appreciation dinner in honor of volunteers in their Children’s Program. Volunteers were treated to a delicious dinner provided by Bistro 5 of Medford.

Dinner was held to celebrate the dedication of volunteers who give their time by tutoring homeless, formerly homeless and at-risk children. This academic support helps children in the Housing Families program to improve their grades and increase self-esteem.

Heather Ventresco, Manager of the Children’s Program, states the importance of the work that volunteers provide.

“Our program is run, primarily by volunteers. The work they do day after day, year after year, is amazing. We really value any chance we have to honor them and Bistro 5 helps us do that in a very special, classy way”.
