Medford eighth-graders Georga Damaa and Ann Le were named by Governor Deval Patrick's office to participate in a statewide student service project this weekend.

Project 351, a day of service for students from each city and town in the state,  is scheduled for Jan. 14, according to a statement.

Patrick will host a Youth Town Meeting  before the students fan out to sites across Boston.

Participating organizations include Cradles to Crayons, the Greater Boston Food Bank, the Dorchester Boys and Girls Club, and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Towers.

The day will conclude at the State House, where the ambassadors and the  governor will reflect on the day and celebrate the legacy of Dr. King.
