Bird-watchers who enjoyed seeing the Red-tailed hawks, Ruby and Buzz, nest at the 185 Alewife Brook Parkway office building in Cambridge for the last few years won't see the pair there this spring. It appears the hawks have stealthily located their nest on private property on Fawcett Street.

Medford photographer George McLean has been on the lookout:

"I am still trying to figure out the nest location at Fawcett Street, the area is like a maze.  I got this photo of Ruby in the Alewife Rreservation, just a short distance north of the nest as the crow flies. It is a great hunting area [if you are a Red-tailed hawk]. Buzz does most of the hunting, she is probably just getting a little exercise."

With the return of chill after the recent glimpse of summer, George also shared the color that will soon surround us.
