Medford Mayor Michael J. McGlynn will recognize some courageous residents who helped save the life of a little girl who nearly drowned in Wright's Pond earlier this month.

The young girl was found at the bottom of the pond by two swimmers, age 10 and 12, who dragged her from the water. Lifeguards on duty performed CPR, saving the the girl's life.

McGlynn is slated to meet with the youngsters Friday at 11 a.m. at the pond, where he is expected to present them with keys to the city.
