Openly gay Bishop Gene Robinson and his partner, Mark, are at the center of a documentary slated for a free showing at Grace Episcopal Church Sept. 18.
Grace Episcopal Church will show in a free screening of the Sundance Award-winning documentary "Love Free or Die," the story of the first openly gay bishop.
The feature-length film centers on Gene Robinson, consecrated in 2003, and his partner Mark, as they struggle to reconcile their love for God and each other.
Robinson's elevation to bishop drew international attention nine years ago. The film follows Robinson in his international effort calling for equality.
The free and open screening is slated for 6:45 p.m. Sept. 18 at the church, located at 160 High St.
