Wildlife photographer George Mclean shot this photo of a majestic bird in Medford that seems not to be destined for someone's table.

Here is what he said about the creature:

Here in all his glory is the big Tom (Twinkle Toes) from the Brooks Estate in Medford.

He is more than likely a descendant of Phill the huge turkey of television and newspaper fame several years ago, who disappeared mysteriously right before Thanksgiving.

This turkey is the bird Ben Franklin wanted as our national emblem with his red, white and blue colors. It is also the only bird that can fly straight up. It roosts in trees over night. (Don,t be underneath when he wakes!)

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

If you see Twinkle Toes have him do his funny dance for you!

Please share my photo and enjoy life!
