The city of Medford is forming a bicycle commission, tasked with mapping city bike routes and conducting a "bicycle census," according to an announcement from Mayor Michael McGlynn's office.

The 10-member commission will meet 6 to 10 times per year, the announcement said. Medford joins neighbors Arlington, which has had a Bicycle Advisory Committee since 1996, and Somerville has had a Bicycle Committee since 2001.

The city is seeking applicants to the commission. Those interested may email their contact information and a letter of interest to mmerrill@medford.org.
