New assistant solicitor appointed in Medford

A longtime administrative assistant at Medford City Hall has been appointed the city's assistant city solicitor, according to an announcement.

Kim Scanlon has worked in city hall for over 10 years, first as an intern, then an administrative assistant in the Health, Community Development and Law departments. She was sworn into the new post on July 8.

Scanlon has a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Salem State and a law degree from Massachusetts School of Law, the announcement said.
