Preliminary work on the Green Line Extension Project will shut roads and sidewalks in Medford this week.

Work on drain lines and sewers is planned in the area of Granville Avenue, Winchester Street, and Harvard Street in Medford periodically Wednesday and Thursday as part of the initial work to extend the Green Line through Medford and Somerville.

Crews are also expected to conduct work to install a retaining wall on the Harvard Street bridge this week, and perform rodent control along the tracks in Medford and Somerville on Friday.

More updates on the project from MassDOT can be found here.
