Affleck returns to Melrose

"The Town" set was bustling on Monday morning.
Ben Affleck has brought "The Town" back to town.
The Hunk of the Greater Hub and his crew returned to shoot scenes at the old Melrose Savings Bank on the corner of Main and West Foster Street on Monday, to the delight of about a dozen onlookers who gathered across the street from the set.
Tricia Dollaher said she snapped a picture of Affleck while he took a cigarette break. Asked how it felt to see him puffing across the street, Dollaher couldn't help wishing for more.
"I'd feel better if he was over here smoking," she said.
Another spectator - a camera-shy woman named Tina who wouldn't give her last name - said a little star power provides excitement in town.
"Nothing happens in Melrose," she said.
Police Chief Michael Lyle said the crew would film on location on Monday and Tuesday, and possibly Wednesday.
Tinsel Town can't seem to get enough of Melrose lately. Affleck shot at the bank about three weeks ago, while a stunt double for Cameron Diaz shot a chase scene for the film "Knight and Day" on a stretch of the Fellsway on the night before Halloween.
