The following is a press release from the City of Melrose:

The Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA) is proud to host a supplement to its October “Dial-A-Lawyer” a session that was dedicated solely to Veterans’ legal questions as part of the MBA’s “Serving Our Veterans in the Law” initiative.  This supplemental Veterans Dial-A-Lawyer program will take place on Thursday, April 29 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and is provided free of charge.  During this two-hour event, volunteer MBA attorneys will answer Veterans’ questions regarding benefits, divorce, child support, employment, and landlord/tenant issues.

“Given the continued need of legal assistance for many of the 500,000 Veterans residing in Massachusetts, we are pleased once again to respond to that need with this free public service,” said MBA President, Valeria A. Yarashus.

The Dial-A-Lawyer phone number is (617) 338-0610.  This number will only be active from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on April 29.  If callers get a busy signal, they are asked to hang up and try again.  Normal telephone charges will apply.

For more information on the Dial-A-Lawyer program contact Jennifer Rosinski at (617) 338-0675 or Tricia Oliver at (617) 338-0677.  For information on Veteran’s benefits, contact the Melrose Veterans Service Officer, Natalee Webb at (781) 979-4186.
