Edward Jones Investments will again this year begin its school supply donation drive, the business said yesterday.

The effort will got toward the Melrose public schools, according to the investment group, which is cooperating with the city in the effort.

"Residents can drop off new and unused school supplies in the designated box," said Chris Cinella, a financial advisor at the 502 Main Street location. "At the end of the summer, those supplies will be given to the Melrose Public Schools for the upcoming school year."

In a statement, Mayor Robert Dolan lauded the effort, and the company, for pitching in.

"Any additional resources we can offer our children to enhance educational opportunities is always appreciated," Dolan said.

To contact Edward Jones Investments, call 781-665-0135, or stop by their Melrose location at 502 Main Street.
