Latin students at Boston College High School students visit the Museum of Fine Arts.

Melrose teen Christopher Littlehale was among a Boston College High School advanced placement Latin class that visited the Museum of Fine Arts after spending months studying Vergil's epic Aeneid.

Under the tutelage of Matthew Aumiler, the students spent the year reading the poetic masterwork, which chronicles the story of Aeneas, a legendary Trojan who traveled from Troy to Italy and became an ancestor of the Romans.

The class is set to take the college-level examination in May.
