Arthur Kaynor graduates from Harvard with high honors

Arthur Diogenes Kaynor of Melrose graduated on May 24 with high honors from Harvard University, magna cum laude, in Classics with a secondary degree in German, and received a full fellowship to pursue a doctorate in Classics at UCLA.

In addition, his two brothers have been commended on the same Chancellor's List. The Chapman University (Orange, Calif.) Office of the Chancellor publishes a list of students honored for their academic excellence. Academic excellence is measured by maintaining a 3.6 GPA or higher.

John Elias Kaynor, Chapman University Class of 2013 (Melrose High School, Class of 2009) is a Cello Performance Major and Honors Student. Eli is also on scholarship at this summer's Apple Hill Summer Chamber Music Workshop in New Hampshire. Nickolas Edward Kaynor, Chapman University Class of 2015 (Boston College High School graduate, Class of 2011) is a Viola Performance Major and Honors Student and is currently performing in a viola festival in Crested Butte, Colorado.
