Melrose 8-year-old Talya Hamberg making big-stage debut

scott.jpegTalya Hamberg of Melrose, an 8-year-old second-grader at the Horace Mann School in Melrose, is making her mainstage debut in Stoneham Theatre "It's a Wonderful Life," which runs through Dec. 23.

Talya has been an active theater-goer and a Young Company participant for the past three summers. She also enjoys piano and soccer.

The holiday classic has five public performances remaining: Thursday at 7:30 p.m.; Friday at 8 p.m.; Saturday at 3 and 8 p.m.; and Sunday at 2 p.m. There also will be a student matinee Friday at 10 a.m.
