Melrose to consider medicinal marijuana center ban next week
Aldermen in Melrose will consider a measure proposed by the city's mayor to keep out medical marijuana dispensaries.
The measure, which was subject to a public hearing in November and was recommended for passage by the aldermen's subcommittee, is on the agenda for the Aldermen's regular meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 22. Neighboring communities Wakefield and Reading also have worked toward banning dispensaries.
The meeting will be held at 7:45 p.m. at City Hall.
